Outer Banks is a fantastically popular show filled with great friends, a bit of love, some beautiful beaches, and a mysterious treasure hunt that leads to considerable danger along the way. It has much of the same tropes as Welcome to Eden and really resembles a similar presence on Netflix.

A rather dark conspiracy thriller in which layer after layer is gradually revealed. Some rather graphic violent scenes. This is very much an adult series.

Full of sex, intrigue, complex relationships and a good old helping of dystopia, Welcome to Eden ticks all the boxes if you're looking for an LGBTQ-friendly, interesting and tense thriller.

... The execution is muddied a bit, and the story of Welcome to Eden feels too drawn out and over-complicated. The angst, relationship drama, and peril the characters face can be engaging, but it also falls into the soap opera vibe way too easily and remains in a juvenile state of storytelling.

Type of Villain

Erick is a major anti-villain of the Netflix series Welcome To Eden. He is the co-founder of the Eden foundation and Astrid's husband. He is portrayed by Guillermo Pfening.
