Do snake bites bleed?

Signs or symptoms of a snake bite may vary depending on the type of snake, but may include: Puncture marks at the wound. Redness, swelling, bruising, bleeding, or blistering around the bite. Severe pain and tenderness at the site of the bite.

For the first 5 days or so, swelling, light bleeding, and tenderness is normal. As well, there may be some yellowish discharge from the piercing sites. Anything beyond that could be a sign of a problem, like an infection.

Give Yourself the Clench Test

With your mouth empty so there is nothing between your teeth to bite on, close your teeth together and squeeze hard. If clenching your teeth together causes any sign of discomfort in any tooth, you have a disharmony in your bite.

Should you squeeze the pus out from a spider bite? Squeezing a spider bite isn't recommended because it can spread the venom. It's even worse to squeeze an MRSA sore that you think is a spider bite.
