The Netflix original series Welcome To Eden is a Spanish riff on the survival drama like Lost.

WELCOME TO EDEN (aka Bienvenidos a Edén) is a Spanish thriller about a group of social media influencers who are trapped on an island paradise.

On July 7th, 2023 it was reported that the show had been officially canceled. The outlet cited viewing stats as being the series' main problems. The initially released season amassed 140,340,000 hours on Netflix's top 10 worldwide.

Welcome To Eden gives its viewers just enough information in its first episode to generate a lot of questions, which means it's doing its job. Outer Banks is a fantastically popular show filled with great friends, a bit of love, some beautiful beaches, and a mysterious treasure hunt that leads to considerable danger along the way. It has much of the same tropes as Welcome to Eden and really resembles a similar presence on Netflix.

A group of young adults attend a party on a remote island, but the tempting paradise they find waiting for them holds dangerous secrets and entrapments. Watch all you want.

Full of sex, intrigue, complex relationships and a good old helping of dystopia, Welcome to Eden ticks all the boxes if you're looking for an LGBTQ-friendly, interesting and tense thriller.

... The execution is muddied a bit, and the story of Welcome to Eden feels too drawn out and over-complicated. The angst, relationship drama, and peril the characters face can be engaging, but it also falls into the soap opera vibe way too easily and remains in a juvenile state of storytelling.

Previously, in “Welcome to Eden,” Episode 3, Nico learned that Saul had threatened Astrid with death. Saul was the one who'd even attacked Erick and stabbed him. Saul, however, had to kill Nico by stabbing a knife into his neck while he was on his way to hand himself in.

Gabi was enlisted to help out in Zoa and Bel's (Begoña Vargas) plan to blow up Astrid (Amaia Salamanca), but it was eventually revealed that she sold the entire operation out for a multitude of reasons.

In the two seasons of “Welcome to Eden”, Astrid progresses from pure evil to cartoonishly evil. Although we learn about the mishaps that occurred in her life in the past, this does not excuse her wrongdoings.

Zoa is later told that there are no children on the island, so she is ready to believe that she simply imagined him due to the effect of the beverage. By the second-to-last episode of Welcome to Eden, however, we learn for sure that the boy is real – but that he may not be what he seems.
