What happens after Sabrina dies?

Sabrina Spellman and Sabrina Morningstar are buried next to one another outside the family mortuary. Then comes the good news… and the weird news: Viewers are reunited with Sabrina Spellman in heaven, aka “the hereafter,” which basically looks like an enormous, spotless museum.

In the show's final scene, Sabrina is sitting by herself in the afterlife where she's reading a book by herself. Nick mysterious appears causing her to question why he's there since only the dead can survive there. He reveals that he swam in the Sea of Sorrows and he drowned from the currents.

Sabrina, of course, was last seen in Chilling Adventure of Sabrina's series finale, where she died and ended up in the afterlife known as the Sweet Hereafter. Apparently, that wasn't her final fate because, according to Sabrina, witches never truly die, and she came back thanks to a transformation spell.

In order to save the world, the show's titular character gave up her own life and, unfortunately, there was no magical post-credit scene to undo her death. Despite it being one of the most popular shows on the platform, Netflix announced Chilling Adventures of Sabrina would be coming to an end with season 4.

Of course, self-sacrifice is often the fatal flaw of the main characters of supernatural shows, but Sabrina's ending stings much more than any that have come before it because her story was not originally meant to end that way. Ahead of the pandemic, Part 4 of the series was filmed in its entirety.

In the series finale, Sabrina calls off her wedding with Aaron and runs off with her soulmate Harvey at 12:36 p.m., the time of day when they had first met (a plot point in the Season 1 episode "As Westbridge Turns").

Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka) is back on Riverdale, and this time she's got quite a bit more to do than just helping Rivervale Cheryl get her soul back. Sabrina returns to Hawaii and with Salem's final piece of assistant solves the family secret: “every member of the Spellman family is born with a twin.” Upon solving the secret, Sabrina is instantly transported to the reunion, where she meets her own twin, Katrina.

Harvey's character was dropped in order to give the show a different look as Sabrina was about to attend college. The decision was later rescinded, and Richert appeared in three episodes of Season 5 and then returned as a series regular in Seasons 6 and 7.

However, Nick ended the relationship due to the sisters' mind-controlling abilities. Harvey ended up with Sabrina's best friend Roz (Jaz Sinclair) and in season three they finally said 'I love you'.

But there was one glaring omission, as Beth Broderick didn't reprise her role as Zelda. It was explained, instead, that Zelda temporarily had to be turned into a candle so that Sabrina's mom could be in attendance for her daughter's wedding.

While Sabrina is dead, she is comfortable in the afterlife. She's in the Sweet Hereafter instead of Hell, most likely due to her selfless sacrifice. The series ends with her boyfriend Nick joining her there, telling her he drowned in the Sea of Sorrows.
