What happens to Takumi in the end?

Sadly, his career was cut short when a snapped driveshaft sent his car careening into a ravine during a shakedown test. The critical injuries Takumi sustained forced him into retirement. He then took up teaching, ending up as an instructor at the same school Kanata attended, and became his mentor.

After his recovery, he became an instructor at Royal Donington Racing School (RDRS), where he trained Kanata and Emma Green. As an instructor, Takumi's teaching style was not to teach everything by hand, but to give students a vague task and then let them figure out the answer by themselves.

The expedition of Project D ends spectacularly with a race between Takumi Fujiwara and Shinji Inui of Team Sidewinder, two evenly matched drivers, where Takumi blows his engine again, but steps on the clutch and wins the race by rolling backwards over the finish line.

In the 3rd round of the MFG races it is said that Takumi married a golfer from Saitama, and they both moved to England. It is implied that this is Mika.

Given that Kyoichi is the first racer to defeat Takumi in the Second Stage, his beating Takumi at every level at the behest of his Evo IV is a thrill to watch. In the second half of the battle, although Takumi wins, his victory doesn't feel as sweet.

After seeing Natsuki with the Mercedes guy coming from a love hotel, Itsuki tells Takumi that Natsuki is a prostitute, which angers Takumi and they fight.

Kanata is the student of the legendary downhill specialist Takumi Fujiwara who at the time of the MF Ghost storyline was a legendary rallyist that became an instructor at RDRS. Kanata's driving style being reminiscent of that of his mentor's.

In the manga, Takumi decided to scrap the AE86 he had since the beginning of the series. In the anime, Takumi keeps it, although he doesn't plan on racing it anymore.

Rather than letting the car keep spinning, Takumi waits for the car to turn 180 degrees, disengages the clutch, and lets the car roll backwards into the finish line. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how Takumi wins his final race.

It is a sequel to Initial D, and is also focused on the Japanese street racing scene.

Natsuki Mogi (茂木 なつき Mogi Natsuki, known as Natalie in the Tokyopop version) is Takumi Fujiwara's initial love interest, and one of the few characters who does not get scared when riding in a car being driven by Takumi.

Takumi's wife in MF Ghost is heavily implied to be Mika, with her being a professional golfer from Saitama.

Takumi loves Hachi. He loves Reira more deeply, in a way he will never love another woman…. But I think that also… he loves both the children, Ren and Satsuki, more than both.

Bunta is thought to have been undefeated during his time as a street racer.

The acclaimed manga TV series Initial D, which ran throughout the 1990s tells the story of a Japanese delivery driver who serves up Tofu in the day, and races across mountain passes by night, is said to be loosely based on Keiichi Tsuchiya's life.

That's Shinichiro Miki, an accomplished voice actor with hundreds of roles under his belt. And one of those roles just happens to be Takumi in the anime adaptation of Initial D! MF GHOST is now streaming as part of the fall anime season.

Ren Ichinose (一ノ瀬レン Ichinose Ren) is a young son of Nana Komatsu and Takumi Ichinose, although it is not made clear who is his biological father or if Satsuki Ichinose is his younger sister or not. He is close to his father, Takumi, and currently lives with him in London, England.

Currently, he is married to Hachi with a son (Ren) and daughter (Satsuki) between them, where he is depicted as a loving father to them.

Takumi Fujiwara will be hitting the big screen, as Fast and Furious legend Sung Kang has confirmed he's directing a new live-action Initial D film.

TakoomiFujiwara, the leader of Project D, was largely to blame for the downfall of the clan. His attitude was not received well by many, including the high-ranks of Midnight Racing:Tokyo.

Natsuki's Papa (なつきのパパ Natsuki no Papa), known simply as "Papa" is the father of Shiraishi, and the ex-sugar daddy of Natsuki Mogi. His full face is never shown, often being obscured or shadowed.

According to Takumi, his mom left them when he was very young. It didn't get into the detail at all, though. We don't know if she passed away or left Bunta (divorce) Even the manga did not talk about it. So it's one of those mysteries that might never get resolved.

In Final Stage, Takumi instead keeps the car, choosing to fix it up over time. In between the events of Initial D and MF Ghost, Takumi would go on to mentor Kanata Rivington, who drives a Toyota 86 GT, the spiritual successor to the AE86.

"Project D"

Takumi Fujiwara has made his decision and joins Ryosuke and Keisuke Takahashi in creating a new race team. Project D has now been formed, and they have only but one goal, to compete against the best drivers in all of the Kanto region.

FR is front engine rear drive, meaning the rear wheels drive the car. Handling characteristics change dramatically between the FF and the FR, whith the FR being the preferred layout for petrolheads/gearheads.

Shingo and Nakazato states out of shock their lines are gonna cross as the Eight-Six now takes the inside and pulls ahead, passing Ryosuke as they both exit the corner, giving Takumi the lead and winning the battle as Ryosuke gives up on the accelerator, realizing Takumi took the lead and he can't regain his position ...

Outcome. Takumi Fujiwara's engine blows, sending both him and Shinji Inui into a spin. Takumi manages to control his Eight-Six and crosses the finish line backwards.
