Why was the last season of Sabrina so bad?

Ultimately, the ending to Sabrina disappoints most due to convoluted and unsatisfying character arcs. The fourth and last season of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina dives into Lovecraftian lore, which deals primarily with fears of the unknown and otherworldly monsters.

If you're upset about the cancellation of "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina," you have the COVID-19 pandemic to blame. In July of 2020, shows like "The Society" and "GLOW" that Netflix had already renewed for more seasons, were shut down due to the pandemic.

At the end of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Sabrina sacrifices herself to save her family, friends, and reality itself. Though all of the witches have access to resurrection spells and locations, the show boldly opts to keep Sabrina dead.

It's true that the Cain Pit doesn't work if the person is dead for longer than 13 minutes but, even with Sabrina at the Mountains of Madness, there's no explanation given as to why one of the witches (or Robin) couldn't transport her back and bury her within that timeframe, given the powers they have at their disposal.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina may have wrapped up in 2020, but that doesn't mean that it's no longer a part of the bizarre universe that it shares with Riverdale. Kiernan Shipka has reprised her role as Sabrina in Riverdale season 6 once already, and now she's doing it again.

As they all tried to stop the Void that was inside of Sabrina, the show's heroine had to pay the ultimate price, and Kiernan Shipka's character was killed off in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina series finale.

This led to his attempting to blow up the Vatican. He was the only plotter that was caught and because he refused to give up his co-conspirators, he was placed under house arrest. Now he cannot leave the Spellman funeral home, which sometimes complicates his dating life, but somehow he still manages.

According to the episode's trailer, it seems as though Sabrina Spellman will be visiting Riverdale to help bring Archie and Jughead back from the dead. Riverdale and Greendale (where Sabrina is from) are neighboring towns in the Archie Comics universe, so the crossover itself isn't far-fetched.

Nicholas has expressed an overall kindness and affection for Sabrina and a willingness to assist her with her mortal exploits with no expectation of anything in return. He suggested to Harvey that he forgive Sabrina because she truly loved him, despite having romantic feelings for her himself.
