Will Sabrina come back to life in Season 5?

In order to save the world, the show's titular character gave up her own life and, unfortunately, there was no magical post-credit scene to undo her death. Despite it being one of the most popular shows on the platform, Netflix announced Chilling Adventures of Sabrina would be coming to an end with season 4.

It's the end of the line for our favorite teenage witch as Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, unfortunately, comes to an end. While fans have absolutely loved watching the series on Netflix over the past four seasons, the show will not be making a big return for another part.

Coincidentally, the women of Riverdale are not the only people with loved ones to resurrect. It turns out Sabrina does too as her own resurrection years earlier came at a significant cost: her boyfriend, Nick Scratch.

How were they saved?: In “Legend,” Sabrina travels far enough back in time to urge her allies to move Zelda before she can be murdered. Zelda is then able to awake on her own — as she did in the original timeline — without being stabbed to death.

Harvey's character was dropped in order to give the show a different look as Sabrina was about to attend college. The decision was later rescinded, and Richert appeared in three episodes of Season 5 and then returned as a series regular in Seasons 6 and 7.

Sabrina, of course, was last seen in Chilling Adventure of Sabrina's series finale, where she died and ended up in the afterlife known as the Sweet Hereafter. Apparently, that wasn't her final fate because, according to Sabrina, witches never truly die, and she came back thanks to a transformation spell.

Resurrecting her required a new death in order to keep the realms in balance. Nick reveals he does not regret his decision as he loves Sabrina and would do anything for her, including sacrificing his life again -- something he's already done twice.

While Sabrina is dead, she is comfortable in the afterlife. She's in the Sweet Hereafter instead of Hell, most likely due to her selfless sacrifice. The series ends with her boyfriend Nick joining her there, telling her he drowned in the Sea of Sorrows. The on-again, off-again couple plan to face eternity together.

On December 18, 2018, Netflix renewed the series for a second season of 16 episodes, which was also split into two parts. On July 8, 2020, Netflix cancelled the series due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Spellman technically died and crossed over to the Sweet Hereafter (a version of heaven in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina). If she's on Riverdale, it either means the events of the show take place before her death, Sabrina has been resurrected.

Netflix's "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" is full of spooky details and behind-the-scenes secrets. Like "Riverdale," the show was created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa with a mid-century vibe based on the Archie Comics. The show took inspiration from famous horror films, Shakespeare's "Macbeth," and pagan myths.

Sabrina's death is fine on its own, but the final two minutes of the show reveal that Sabrina's warlock boyfriend Nick died by suicide to be with her in the afterlife.

Season 6 (2001–2002)

More complications ensue when Harvey reappears, this time dating Morgan. At the end of the season, Sabrina sacrifices true love to save Hilda after Sabrina sabotages her relationship.

However, Nick ended the relationship due to the sisters' mind-controlling abilities. Harvey ended up with Sabrina's best friend Roz (Jaz Sinclair) and in season three they finally said 'I love you'.

Sabrina returns to Hawaii and with Salem's final piece of assistant solves the family secret: “every member of the Spellman family is born with a twin.” Upon solving the secret, Sabrina is instantly transported to the reunion, where she meets her own twin, Katrina.

I'm ready! A magical resident is returning to Riverdale. Kiernan Shipka will reprise her Chilling Adventures of Sabrina role and appear on a future episode of the CW series, TVLine reported.

However, while Cheryl redirects the comet and saves Riverdale, the show takes a shocking twist at the end of season 6 as the show's main character, Archie Andrews (KJ Apa), wakes up in the 1950s.

The name "Nicholas Scratch" is an amalgam of colloquial and euphemistic names for the Devil: "Old Nick" and "Old Scratch" or "Mr. Scratch" (as used in "The Devil and Daniel Webster").
